The Niagara IceDogs are excited to announce the signing of Andrew Bruder to a Standard Player Contract.
Bruder came to training camp as a free agent invite who had skated under the radar until this summer, when IceDogs scouting and management staff discovered what they believed to be a diamond in the rough.
The Woodstock, ON native played for the Woodstock Navy Vets, of the PJCHL, last season collecting 26 points (16 goals, 10 assists) in 40 games – including 6 post-season games (7 assists).
Despite being relatively unknown until this past week, General Manager Joey Burke and the IceDogs coaching staff knew he belonged in a ‘Dogs sweater. “Andrew was the pleasant surprise of training camp. Andrew is a guy who gets better every year, the way his game is progressing is remarkable to watch. We are lucky to have added him to the IceDogs family.”
The Niagara IceDogs would like to congratulate Andrew on this significant accomplishment and are excited to see what the future holds.
