ANNOUNCEMENT | Jones Signs ELC with Vegas Golden Knights

The Niagara IceDogs are proud to announce that Ben Jones has recently signed an Entry-Level Contract with the Vegas Golden Knights!

After being drafted by the IceDogs in the first round of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection, Jones joined a veteran team that became Eastern Conference Champions in 2016-2017. The following season, Jones became a staple on the first line and reached the 50 point mark. Following a successful end to his first year of NHL Draft eligibility, Jones was drafted to the Vegas Golden Knights in the 7th round of the 2017 NHL Draft. After being drafted, Jones took on a leadership role with the team, being named an alternate captain, and saw consistent minutes in all situations on the ice. Jones finished the 2017-2018 season with 79 points in the regular season, and 12 points in 10 playoff games.

General Manager Burke was thrilled to make the announcement, saying “It’s no surprise to see Jonesy sign and there is no one who deserves it more than him. It’s a true testament to his work ethic, talent and dedication and we couldn’t be happier for him!”

The entire Niagara IceDogs organization is excited to congratulate Ben on this significant achievement in his career!
