GAMEDAY PREVIEW: IceDogs hit the road to take on Otters to finish 3 in 3 weekend!

Your Niagara IceDogs are back in action tonight as they visit Erie Otters. As the ‘Dogs take to the ice in Erie tonight, they come in with a big shootout win under their belts against the Otters on Thursday night.

Tonight is the fifth game this season the ‘Dogs will play against Erie. The ‘Dogs lead this season series between these two teams 3-1, with their only loss coming in a overtime in Erie in October.

The ‘Dogs come into this game following a huge 6-3 win against Barrie. Currently, they sit atop the Central Division with 51 points.

Coming into this game, the ‘Dogs are being led on the scoresheet by Sam Miletic, who’s collected 6 pts in the 2 games he’s played as an IceDog. Miletic currently sits 4th in league scoring with 60 points on the season. He also ranks 3rd in league assists, with 41, while Akil Thomas ranks 5th with 36 assists. Despite the powerplay having struggled as of late, Akil Thomas continues to rank in the top 5 of league powerplay assists. Stephen Dhillon comes into this game sitting in 4th in most wins by a goalie with 21 wins on the season.

The IceDogs have received other secondary scoring from second year forwards Danial Singer and Oliver Castleman, while the defensemen have become more active in the offensive zone, especially with the activation of defensemen Liam Ham, and Elijah Roberts, when the ‘Dogs have extended control of the puck in the opposition’s zone.
