IceDogs prospect, Christian Sbaraglia, has strong showing at Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence Goalie Camp

Last weekend, Christian Sbaraglia (6, 105), participated in the 12th annual Hockey Canada Program of Excellence goalie camp.

Sbaraglia, one of 30 goalies selected to take part in last weekend’s camp, showed his elite talents amongst his peers. He was one of seven 2001 born OHL drafted goalies to participate in the Program of Excellence’s goalie camp.

The three day camp brought together the top young goaltenders from across Canada, where they were given the opportunity to train with some of the best goalie instructors in the world; including former National Hockey League goalies Jason LaBarbera and Fred Brathwaite. This was the 12th year this camp has been run. The purpose of the camp is to further the development of the top Canadian goalies at the junior level. An invitation to this camp is considered a stepping stone to representing Canada at upcoming under-17, under-18, and under-20 international tournaments.

Sbaraglia had an excellent showing at the camp, proving why he was so highly touted by our scouts going into this year’s OHL Draft.
