2023 OHL U18 Priority Selection Draft Recap
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs have added three prospects to their prospect pool following the 2023 U18 OHL Priority Selection Draft. The IceDogs held the 2nd overall pick, the 21st overall pick and the 41st overall pick.
Andrew Artenosi LD (Round 1, 2nd overall)
Artenosi is a left-handed defenceman who played this past season with the Richmond Hill Coyotes in the ETAHL. While skating in 34 games for the Coyotes Artenosi recorded 14 assists for a total of 14 points. He stands in at 5’08 while weighing in at 155 lbs.
Hayden Jeffery G (Round 2, 21st overall)
Jeffery, Grimsby, ON native suited up for the Niagara North Stars in the SCTA – OMHA this past season. Appearing in 17 games and posting a 2.14 GAA, while appearing in 3 playoff games. Jeffery was also put on the Niagara Falls Canucks roster in the GOJHL, however, did not appear in any games for the Canucks. The goaltender stands in at 5’11 and weighs 155 lbs.
Roman Buduev LD (Round 3, 41st overall)
The 2006 born left-handed defenceman, Buduev, played for the North York Rangers this past season in GTHL. Buduev comes in at 5’10 and 163 lbs. In his U16 year Buduev played for the Toronto Titans in the GTHL before making the transition over to the Rangers for his U18 season.
