1) Niagara continues their 5-game homestand tonight as the Sudbury Wolves make their final trip to the Meridian Centre of the regular season, in what has been described as the most important game of the season.

2) Both teams enter tonight’s game tied for First in the Central Division with 85 points.

3) Against the Wolves this season, Akil Thomas has 2 goals and 5 assists, while Ben Jones has scored 2 goal and 5 assists.

4) Jason Robertson’s 106 points on the season ranks 2nd in the league, behind Morgan Frost’s 107. 43 of Robertson’s points have been goals, ranking 6th in the league. Robertson’s 63 assists on the season and Akil Thomas’s 60 assists rank 3rd and 4th in the league, respectively. Philip Tomasino leads the league with 12 game-winning goals this season.

5) The IceDogs have the 1st ranked power play, with a 28.1% efficiency, and the 14h ranked penalty kill, with a 76.9% efficiency. Jason Robertson is dominating the league in power play points, leading with 16 goals and 32 assists on the man advantage. Kirill Maksimov has 16 goals on the man advantage. Matt Brassard has 27 power play assists, ranking 4th.

6) The Wolves’ power play ranks 20th with a 13.1% efficiency, while their penalty kill is ranked 2nd with 83.1% efficiency.

7) Starting goaltender, Stephen Dhillon ranks 6th among all OHL goaltenders. His .908 save percentage (5th) and 3.02 goals against average  have contributed to his 33 wins this season (3rd).

8) The ‘Dogs are likely to face Sudbury’s starting goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen tonight. Luukkonen is touted as one of the best goaltenders in the league with a save percentage of .918 and a goals against average of 2.51.

9) The IceDogs currently have 7 players who have passed the 50-point threshold (Robertson – 106; Jones – 95; Thomas – 94; Maksimov – 77; Studnicka – 73; Tomasino, 66; Brassard – 53).

10) The ‘Dogs penalty kill has been nearly perfect through seven games, only allowing one goal.
