10 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE TONIGHT’S GAME

1) The IceDogs make their third and final trip to the Paramount Fine Foods Centre of the season tonight. Niagara currently leads the season series 2-1, with last night’s 3-1 defeat over the Steelheads.

2) Against Mississauga, Akil Thomas has collected 9 points (1 goal, 8 assists). On the season, he now has 26 points (8 goals, 18 assists), ranking 5th in the league. Akil’s 18 assists is the 4th most in the league.

3) In two games against the Fish, Ivan Lodnia has 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists). Lodnia is currently riding a 4-game point streak, collecting a point a game.

4) Kirill Maksimov is ranked tenth in the league with 11 goals, 6 of which coming on the powerplay, tied with Hamilton’s Arthur Kaliev to lead the league.

5) Niagara is currently riding a 5-game win-streak. Dhillon has been in net for each win.

Our next home game is Friday November 9th against the North Bay Battalion. The ‘Dogs will be hosting their Remembrance Day game, honouring past and present military members who sacrificed their lives . Active and retired service members will be given a free ticket to the game and there will be a special anthem presentation by the Lincoln and Welland Regiment Band.

‘Dogs fans will be able to watch some of the players in the CIBC Canada-Russia series game on Thursday November 8th. Captain Ben Jones and Assistant Captain Akil Thomas will be playing for Team Ontario, and Kirill Maksimov will be playing for Team Russia. The games will be broadcast live on Sportsnet.
