1) Tonight’s game marks the first between these two teams, and the first of a home and home against the Colts.

2) In the 2017-2018 season, Elijah Roberts (1G, 3A) and Akil Thomas (1G, 4A) lead the IceDogs in points against Barrie. Bradey Johnson and Kirill Maksimov each scored two goals in the season series.

3) Ben Jones (3G, 5A) – Kirill Maksimov (6G, 3A) are currently on a 6-game point streak. Ivan Lodnia is currently riding a 3-game point streak (1G, 3A).

4) ‘Dogs forward Bradey Johnson currently ranks third in the league with 2 game-winning goals, having been scored in our 3-1 win over Kingston, and our 6-1 win over North Bay.

5) Kirill Maksimov is tied for the lead in the league for most powerplay goals this season, with 3. He is tied with Mississauga’s Cole Carter and Guelph’s Nate Schnarr.

6) Matthew Philip and Kyen Sopa are tied ranking 2nd in the league for most scoring most first goals in games, with 2. They are also tied with the Storm’s Schnarr.

7) The IceDogs have the 17th ranked home powerplay, with 7.7% efficiency, and the 13th ranked home penalty kill, with a 83.3% efficiency rating.

8) The Colts’ away power play ranks 10th with 13.3% efficiency, while their away penalty kill is ranked 10th with 86.4% efficiency.

9) Barrie’s Ryan Suzuki leads the league with 15 points thus far in the season, 11 of his points have been assists (5 of which coming on the powerplay).

10) Two Colts (Tyler Tucker and Joey Keane) are amongst the league’s leaders in penalty minutes, with 18 and 17 respectively.

Tonight we will be honouring and remembering the late Stan Mikita, a St Catharines hockey legend. We will be donning commemorative warm up jerseys (see below), hosting a banner raising, and puck drop by two of his former teammates.

In the retail store tonight, we will be selling “Garden City Hockey Heroes” by John Hewitt & Sheila Kennedy, a book featuring the stories of St Catharines Tee-Pees and Black Hawks players. The books will be sold for $25+hst. We only have a limited supply, so make sure to get yours early!
