IceDogs Acquire Rights to Dakota Betts from Rangers

Niagara, ON – The Niagara IceDogs have announced that they have acquired the rights to Dakota Betts from the Kitchener Rangers, in exchange forĀ a 10th round selection in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection. Betts was a former first round selection (17th overall) in the 2018 OHL U18 Priority Selection by the Rangers.

Betts, an 18 year old defenceman from Bowmanville, played the 2018-19 season with the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Whitby Fury. In 52 games, he collected 17 points (8 goals, 9 assists).
