Niagara, ON- IceDogs Head Coach, Daniel Fitzgerald, has named Nathan Ribau as the team’s Alternate Captain.

“Nathan has come to Niagara and immediately earned the respect of his teammates and the staff” Said Fitzgerald. “Nathan’s professional approach and team-first mentality helps lead our group by example both on and off the ice.”

The 20-year-old defenseman is excited about the opportunity. “It’s an honour to be named Alternate Captain” he said. “I’m excited for what this team can bring this season and believe we have the talent and work ethic to reach our goals”.

Being a former Alternate Captain for the Sudbury Wolves and Windsor Spitfires with over 100 OHL games played, Ribau shared, “I’m looking to use my experience and leadership in this league to help guide and support our team to success”.

Ribau is the first Alternate Captain named for the IceDogs this season and will be joining Landon Cato (C) on the team’s leadership group. Congratulations Nathan!
