IceDogs Fall to Generals in their First Exhibition

The IceDogs played their first exhibition game of the season on September 17, in Oshawa. The team fell to Oshawa 4-3 in the shootout.

The team came on the ice hot, with Niagara rookie Brice Cooke putting the team up 2-0 within the first 10 minutes of play.

Later in the first, the Generals’ Cooper Way answered back.

With under two minutes left in the first, new Trade, Aidan Castle helps the IceDogs hold on, with his first goal.  Castle, a first-round draft pick, was traded from Oshawa earlier this month. You can read more on that here:

In the Second period, the Generals came out quickly. Calum Ritchie scored for Oshawa, making the score 3-2 IceDogs.

In the third, Oshawa’s Riley Pitt got one past Costanzo, tieing it up 3-3.

The game ultimately went to a shootout, both of Niagara’s attempts were stopped by Patrick Lever. Making Oshawa take the game in the shootout for a 4-3 final.
