IceDogs in NHL Playoffs – Week 1 Recap

Week one of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs has wrapped up, where five IceDogs alumni are competing.

 

Carter Verhaeghe – Florida Panthers (1 G, 2 A, 3 PTS)

The Washington Capitals lead the series 2-1 over the Panthers. Verhaeghe has three points in the series so far, getting one assist in game one, and potting a goal and an assist in game two.

 

Ryan Strome – New York Rangers (1 G, 2 A, 3 PTS)

The Pittsburgh Penguins lead the series 2-1 over the Rangers. Strome has also captured three points in the series thus far. Strome had an assist in game one and three, and one goal in game two.

 

Jason Robertson – Dallas Stars (0 G, 1 A, 1 PTS)

Brett Ritchie – Calgary Flames

The Dallas Stars have a 2-1 lead over the Calgary Flames. The only series where IceDogs alumni are facing off head-to-head. Jason Robertson picked up an assist in game two, and Brett Ritchie has stayed off the score sheet.

 

Philip Tomasino – Nashville Predators

The Colorado Avalanche are winning the series 3-0 over the Predators. Tomasino has been scoreless throughout the first round.
