At the beginning of week five, there is now just one former IceDog remaining in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Ryan Strome – New York Rangers (13 GP – 1 G, 7 A, 8 PTS)

The New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes series is tied 3-3 with game seven being played tonight in Raleigh, North Carolina. Former IceDog, Ryan Strome is currently playing on the Rangers second line centering Panarin and Copp. As of right now, Strome has 2 points in this series, picking up an assist in the Rangers game four and six wins. Coming off a 5-2 win, Ryan and the Rangers are hoping to keep their momentum for game seven tonight at the PNC Arena.

Special Mention:

Brett Ritchie – Calgary Flames (7 GP – 2 G, 0 A, 2 PTS)

After five games, the Edmonton Oilers sent the Flames home in an eventful battle of Alberta series. Brett Ritchie scored his first NHL Playoff goal in the Flames sole win of the series in game one and had 6 SOG and 12 hits. Ritchie also found the back of the net off of a rebound in game two’s loss. This postseason Brett played a parttime role with the Flames and showed up in areas where they needed him most. Prior to 2022, Ritchie had just three playoff games under his belt.
