IceDogs Looking for a Win to Closeout their Homestand

The IceDogs are wrapping up their two game homestand against the Erie Otters before heading on the road for five straight. The ‘Dogs are coming off a big buzzer beater overtime win against the Windsor Spitfires last Saturday. After collecting points in their last 3 games, the IceDogs are sitting third in the central division.

This is the third showdown between these two teams this season and the ‘Dogs are looking for their first win. The Otters veteran backend is home to offensive defenseman Jamie Drysdale. In only his second season with the Otters, Drysdale is averaging 1.09 points per game – 5 goals and 24 points. The ‘Dogs will have to keep their eye on the point in order to help out in their defensive end.

Adrien Beraldo is a new addition to the IceDogs blueline. In his first game at the Meridian Centre last Saturday, Beraldo scored a big game tying goal in the first and collected an assist on the game winning goal in overtime. Beraldo was the only none rookie defensemen in the lineup in Saturday’s game and with a statement win, Beraldo showed leadership and experience on a young defensive corps.
