IceDogs part ways with Fitzgerald

Niagara, ON –The Niagara IceDogs have announced they have made a coaching change and are parting ways with head coach, Daniel Fitzgerald.
“It was a very difficult decision. This is a performance-based position and we felt that our team is a lot better than the record shows”, said IceDogs GM, Darren DeDobbelaer. “Daniel is one of the highest character people I have known and this was a difficult decision to make.” The Niagara IceDogs wish Daniel Fitzgerald all the best in his future endeavors.
Jeff Angelidis will serve as interim head coach. Angelidis is coming from the Brantford 99ers coaching staff of the OJHL. The Milton native began his playing career in the OPJHL, was a student-athlete in the NCAA, and even played professionally. Jeff has experience coaching in the GTHL, the GOJHL, and the OJHL.
