IceDogs prospect Landon Cato and GTHL Blue capture 2019 OHL Gold Cup crown

Niagara IceDogs 2019 third round selection, defenceman Landon Cato and GTHL Blue won their second consecutive OHL Gold Cup Championship Sunday afternoon against fellow ‘Dogs prospects Ethan Mistry and Josh Rosenzweig and GTHL Red. In the 4-game tournament, Cato finished with 2 assists, while Rosenzweig finished the tournament with 1 win, a shutout, and 2 losses – posting a .821 save percentage and a 4.72 goals against average.

In their final game, first round selection Isaac Enright (HEO) faced off against forward Stephen Pszeniczny and Bradey Brunet (NOHA), with Enright’s HEO winning 4-3. Pszeniczny finished with 2 assists.

With the exception of Cato’s GTHL Blue, each IceDogs player finished with 2 wins and 2 losses.
