IceDogs take on Eastern Conference Foe, the Ottawa 67’S

The IceDogs are back in action tonight looking to kick off their third straight three game weekend. This will be the first time that the Ottawa 67’S and the IceDogs faceoff in the 2019-2020 season. The Ottawa 67’S look to be a tough component with a record of 9-4-0-0.

The 67’S are home to overage defenseman, Noel Hoefenmayer, who just received defensemen of the month honors for October. Hoefenmayer has always been on offensive threat from the backend. He collected 61 points last season, which he is on track for surpassing with already having 21 points in 13 games played. The IceDogs are going to have to keep their eyes on Hoefenmayer, as he is tied for first in points on his team.

The IceDogs have an overage offensive threat of their own in Oliver Castleman. Castleman has been seeing big minutes this season which he has taken advantage of by scoring 6 goals and tallying 15 points, in 14 games. The powerplay is where Castleman shines as he has already scored 4 powerplay goals this season, which is the second most on the ‘Dogs roster. Castleman doesn’t look like he’s slowing down as he already has 36 shots on goal this season.

The IceDogs will be without Associate Coach Jody Hull and rookie defenceman Isaac Enright, who is with Hockey Canada at the World U17 Hockey Challenge.

Don’t miss out on seeing your IceDogs go head to head against their Eastern Conference rival.
