Niagara IceDogs sign Gabriel Runco

ST. CATHARINES, ON – The Niagara IceDogs are proud to announce the signing of Gabriel Runco.

Born in Ancaster, ON, the 2005-born d-man stands at 6’0 and weighs in at 205 lbs. Gabriel Runco was selected by Peterborough in the 8th Round of the 2021 OHL Entry Draft. The defenceman spent his rookie year with the Brantford Bandits of the GOJHL and started this season with the Brantford 99ers of the OJHL. In September, the IceDogs acquired Runco through a trade with the Petes and so far this season, the Ancaster native has dressed as an AP for 5 games with the IceDogs.
