TRADE: IceDogs Acquire Andrew and Jacob LeBlanc from Kitchener

Niagara, ON – This afternoon the Niagara IceDogs announced a trade they completed with the Kitchener Rangers. Niagara has acquired Andrew and Jacob LeBlanc from Kitchener in exchange for London’s 2nd round pick in 2024, London’s 3rd round pick in 2025, Mississauga’s 3rd round pick in 2026, and London’s 5th round pick in 2023.

It’s a homecoming! The 2004-born LeBlanc twins from Port Colborne are coming home to Niagara. Andrew LeBlanc, a centreman, stands at 5’11 and weighs in at 176 lbs. Andrew was drafted by Kitchener in the 1st round, 17th overall of the 2020 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection. The centreman scored 6 goals and picked up 19 assists for a total of 25 points in his rookie season last year. Defenseman, Jacob LeBlanc, was also drafted by Kitchener in 2020. He was selected in the 3rd round, 42nd overall. Last season in his rookie campaign, Jacob played a full 68 games, putting up 4 goals and 16 assists for a total of 20 points for the Rangers.

The Niagara IceDogs now have three 1st round players from the 2020 OHL draft, Pano Fimis (2), Aidan Castle (13th), and Andrew LeBlanc (17th).
