IceDogs drop Sunday matinee versus Petes

NIAGARA, ON – Owen Flores made 53 stops while the Michaud and Assadourian net one apiece in this Sunday afternoon’s matchup versus the Petes.
Starting Goaltenders: Owen Flores (NIAG), Liam Sztuska (PBO)
The IceDogs would open up the scoring early on with Daniel Michaud potting in the backhand forehand, thanks to the pass from Kevin He entering the zone to get the home crowd going on a Sunday afternoon.
A late-period point shot off a faceoff win by the Petes would be tipped in by Stillman, evening the game up at one apiece. The Petes would get two more quick ones to take a 3-1 lead before Chris O’Flaherty and Cam Gauvreau would drop the gloves as the IceDogs forward tried to fire his team up.
The Petes would add two more goals in the middle period to extend their lead. A point shot from Declan Waddick would be tipped by Alex Assadourian with the man advantage right out of the gate to begin the final period of play.
The visitors would take this one in front of 4,325 at the Meridian Centre. Owen Flores stopped 53 shots in the defeat. Niagara will finish off their season next week with their last two remaining games on home ice.
