Savard Commits to IceDogs

Niagara IceDogs general manager and head coach Marty Williamson has announced that goaltender MacKenzie Savard has agreed to a standard player agreement.

Savard impressed in training camp and it has earned him a spot on the team to start the season. The 17 year old netminder played for the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves last season, where he posted a 2.52 goals against average in 17 games.

The IceDogs would like to congratulate Savard and welcome him to the team.

The preseason schedule continues tonight, as the IceDogs take on the Kitchener Rangers in Beamsville at 7pm.
