1) The IceDogs are back in action following the Holiday break, with an afternoon tilt against the Ottawa 67’s.

2) The ‘Dogs come into this game with points in their past 8 games, including 7 wins and one overtime loss.

3) Niagara will be missing Daniel Bukac (Czech Republic) and Jason Robertson (United States) for this afternoon’s game, due to the World Junior Hockey Championship.

4) Captain Ben Jones is currently riding an 9-game point streak, having collected 5 goals and 12 assists (17 points), including a hat-trick on December 15th against Oshawa.

5) Starting goaltender Stephen Dhillon ranks 6th amongst all goalies in the league that have played at least 20 games this season, with a goals against average of 2.78, and save percentage of .915. Dhillon ranks 4th in the league with 17 wins this season.

6) The IceDogs have the 9th ranked away powerplay, with 20.3% efficiency, and the 19th ranked away penalty kill, with an 70.3% efficiency rating.

7) The 67’s home power play ranks 18th with an 16.4% efficiency, while their home penalty kill is ranked 13th with 79.4% efficiency.

8) The IceDogs will not be facing Ottawa’s newly acquired goaltender Michael DiPietro, as he is away at World Junior’s representing Canada. The 67’s will also be with Sasha Chmelevski, who is representing the United States.

9) The 67’s are lead on the scoresheet by veteran forwards Tye Felhaber and Austen Keating, who have 56 and 47 points on the season, respectively.

10) Niagara has four players who have surpassed the 40 point mark this season: Jason Robertson (60), Akil Thomas (42), Ben Jones (41), Kirill Maksimov (40). Philip Tomasino and Ivan Lodnia each have 32 points on the season.
