IceDogs goaltending prospect invited to USA Hockey U17 Development Camp

IceDogs’ 12th round pick (225 overall) in the 2017 OHL Draft, Ben Kraws, has been invited to participate in USA Hockey’s Boys 17 Development Camp All-Star Game┬áthis morning.

In his OHL Draft year, the Cranbury, New Jersey, native played for the Buffalo Jr Sabres U16 program. Kraws posted a save percentage of .932 and a goals against average of 1.71. Ben also played in a game for the OJHL’s Buffalo Junior Sabres.

Ben was invited to the USA National Festival Camp, where he represented team Black. Kraws finished the development camp third overall, of 20 invited American goaltenders, with a save percentage of .924, and allowed only five goals in the five games he played. His strong play throughout the camp earned him a position on the Blue roster for the camps All-Star Game.

The Niagara IceDogs are incredibly proud of Ben’s performance at the development camp, and his participation in the All-Star game today. We would like to congratulate Ben on his achievements!
